When opportunity knocks, say Yes! Launched in 2017, connect2SKILLS is connecting people to full time work in key growth sectors.

SkillsAdvance Ontario projects, funded through Employment Ontario by MLTSD and the Federal Government, and led by the Planning Board, are opening up exciting prospects for unemployed and underemployed individuals in Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth counties.

1.  For employers or employees currently working or seeking work in Manufacturing or Hospitality & Tourism Industries 

2.  For Job Seekers  18+ And Not Currently Attending Any School, unemployed or less than 20 hours a week

3.  A Great Way To Gain Industry-Recognized Skills that benefit You Or Your Employees for Retention or Promotions

FREE skills training for individuals and employers. The online or In-class program offers four weeks of industry training geared to Hospitality and Tourism or Manufacturing. Financial aid to assist with temporary barriers and a two weeks of paid job placement for individuals seeking employment in the sectors. This and our other customized programs are opportunities to test the effectiveness and efficiencies of sector-focused, partnership-based training programs.  Connect2SKILLS is now going into its fourth year with excellent results.

Training Is Customizable To Fit Your Organization-Specific Needs. We continue to offer Value Added training options for the Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth Employers for these sectors. Our Core team is a valuable asset as a support for these SkillsAdvance Programs and we look forward to working with the communities within the region to achieve common goals in Labour market challenges.
